STP overarching strengths is our commitment to solid project management. Over the course of our history STP has refined a comprehensive standard project execution methodology that we have named ABACUS. This standard practice includes the use of a Project Execution Checklist, breaking out standard project execution tasks and identifying responsible individuals accountable for each item. Within the framework, project tracking, controlling, and reporting are managed to quality standards with oversight and accountability to ensure on-track project performance.

STP follows a discipline of “Open Project” management. All project information is maintained on a single, secure web portal allowing each team member real time access to the same information. STP has developed an integrated, networked electronic tracking, reporting, and project costing system. The system has been audited and approved by the US Navy, a current client.

Beyond sound project management, the success of any automation project is dependent on the critical factors of risk identification and management, a cornerstone of STP project execution methodology that enables us to continually deliver systems on time and on budget. Poorly managed risks can double the life cycle cost of a project while wreaking havoc on schedules.
